Maybe, the folder "Program Files" does not exist in the CMD :-).
User Question: I am stuck with a small problem!
I am on WIN 10 (64)
I handle different projects at different times.
Whenever I handle a project, I want about half a dozen related folders to be opened in File Explorer.
That would be easy for me while Saving or Save As, make PDF, Export etc.
This can be done by a batch file.
This is how i do it
@echo off
start C:\Dailies\Times
start C:\Dailies\Times\WEB
The first two lines works fine.
The folders Times and WEB opens up perfectly
The Third and fourth lines do not work.
The general syntax is that, whenever there is a space in folder or file name, it should be within quotes.
That's what I have done.
But it doesn't work
Do you have any utility which has this problem already solved?
If not... can you think of developing one?
If some of the explorer windows have 1 or more tabs, easy remove them ergo close the tabs and define a default folder when open new Tab Content / Solution
This is a Windows-7 and Windows 10/11 old list view sorted column bug but in the newest Quad-Dir is this Problem fixes and resolved If Please disable the
Oooo Yes, this is a "Adobe Reader" problem on windows 12, 11, 10 and 8.1 is everything fine in File-Explorer Q-Dir 1. Solve the problem with previewing
I use your sw in command line mode, (using autohotkey)
Run, C:\Q_Dir.exe C:\h
run well, but open in 4 windows mode.
How to open in a "one windows only" ?
How to open current folder in Q-Dir from a command line?It works fine for full path:
I encounter one problem, though.
To keep this short. I wrote a simple batch file called C:\test.bat as such:
echo %1
echo %2
echo %3
echo %4
echo %5
pause
Then, in Q-Dir, I added new Program entry at Options->Programs as such:
Now, the problem is, if I turn on 2x2 view layout and I change directories to i.e. C:\ in the 1st view, D:\ in 2nd, E:\ in 3rd and F:\ in 4th (my disk partitions) then after starting test.bat i.e. from within the 3rd view, where path is E:\, the output I get is:
E:\
E:\
E:\
E:\
E:\
I wanted to add WinDiff or a similar application that compares 2 folders, but whatever variable (%curdir%, %curdir1% etc.) I use in the program entry as the parameter it is always replaced with the path to the currently active directory.
That shoudn't be I think. Maybe I am missing something. Please help.
I want to open the custom folder directly in q-dir, what are the parameters? I want to directly open the folder where the program is located in q-dir. What are the parameters? because i want to open the Current window directory in other software.
